Our Philosophy

At Forward Focus PT, we are committed to helping you move better, feel stronger, and build resilience. Our approach is rooted in collaboration—working with you to develop a plan that respects your body’s needs, whether you're navigating hypermobility, recovering from an injury, or addressing orthopedic concerns.

We prioritize quality care over quick fixes. Each session is a full hour, allowing for a thoughtful assessment, personalized treatment, and the space to address your questions. Our goal is to equip you with the tools and confidence to move forward with strength and control.

Meet Cristina Sabbadin

I grew up in Northern Italy and earned my degree in Fisioterapia from the University of Padua in 2014. After moving to the United States in 2015, I pursued advanced education at the University of Michigan, where I obtained a Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Throughout my career, I have focused on orthopedic rehabilitation, helping individuals recover from both acute and chronic conditions. Since 2020, I have specialized in treating patients with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), developing tailored strategies to improve joint stability and reduce pain.

The most rewarding part of my work is helping patients regain confidence in their bodies. I strive to shift their perspective from seeing their bodies as fragile to recognizing their strength and resilience. My approach is rooted in education, movement, and collaboration, ensuring that each patient feels supported on their journey to better health.

MY METHOD

  • LISTEN

It all starts by listening to your story.

The better we can paint a picture of the variety of factors at play in your situation, the more clearly we can make sense of your pain, recognize what we can change and define the steps to move forward.

  • CREATE A PLAN

Next, we will create a treatment plan that takes your life, preferences, and goals into consideration.

My role is to help shine a light on what is happening and provide the tools to stimulate positive change.

My treatment approach is a combination of manual therapy and personalized exercises.

  • GUIDE AND MONITOR

The road to recovery can be unpredictable. A success story for me looks like a person who is confidently managing their condition, who knows I am here to help when things get confusing.

Testimonials

  • "Cristina is a very knowledgeable and professional provider. She listens to you and designs a program for your recovery completely tailored to your needs. I love working with her and would recommend her to all my family and friends."

  • "I've been seeing Cristina for assistance at various points through the past year - initially for a persistent knee injury that I was unable to kick, that not only limited me from staying active, but also taking the stairs and walking on inclined surfaces. At the beginning of our sessions I was immediately impressed that Cristina looked at other areas that were adjacent to the knee for things that were contributing to my injury. Over the past couple months I was able to go back to an active life without pain, and left with a program to continue to build strength. A few months later I connect with Cristina again, with concerns and hopes for creating a more evolved and challenging strength program with consideration for my recovering knee, and I was once again impressed with her ability to understand my concerns, create a program that works for both my schedule and body, and have something that is manageable to continue. I have learned new things both about how my body moves as well as different exercises and tools to ensure I avoid injury in the future. I cannot recommend Cristina enough!"

  • “I always appreciated the specific attention you gave to me as a patient, as an individual not just one of many. ”
